Nike Says No to Removing ‘Dope’ and ‘Get High’ T-Shirts from Window Display

The Niketown store in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood refused Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s request for the store to remove t-shirts in their window display. The t-shirts, part of an action sports campaign, say ‘Dope’ and ‘Get High’ on them. According to a Nike spokesperson, the shirts in no way condone a pro-drug use message but rather are terms that are used for action sports such as BMX and surfing.
