The Linn County Alcohol and Drug Prevention Program provided 627 fourth graders with Botvin LifeSkills Training during the 2011-2012 school year. After the fourth graders completed the program, the Linn County Alcohol and Drug Prevention Program conducted a survey on the students with the following results:
- 96% of students indicated an increase in decision-making skills,
- 91% increase in refusal skills,
- and a 91% increase in knowledge about the risks of tobacco use.
